The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s 28th Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at Town Field Park in Dorchester, MA 02122. Â
The Peace Institute serves as a center of healing, teaching and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, trauma, grief and loss in the Boston area. The Institute’s goal is to equip survivors with the tools, resources and opportunities that they need to become architects of their own healing and advocates for social change. The walk celebrates our potential to create more peaceful communities and is the LDBPI’s largest fundraising event to grow and sustain services, advocacy and training.
First Parish is organizing a team, and we’re looking for your support! If you’d like to join us in walking, the 3.1 mile route starts and ends at the Town Field in Dorchester with a kickoff program at 8am followed by the walk at 9am. Whether or not you choose to join the walk, we hope you will support this amazing organization and our team of walkers, as an act of bearing witness through service to justice and peace.
