Dear First Parish Members and Friends,
We have started a new ministry called Helping Hands. This group works in support of the Pastoral Care and Service Team to provide rides, meals, and other small tasks for those in need in our community.
If you are someone in need of a ride, or a meal, or other small task, please email us at HelpingHands@uuchelmsford.org and we will match you with one of our volunteers. When you email, please provide as much detail as possible. For example, with a ride – date, time, location and if possible length of appointment. If a meal – date needed, best time to drop off, address and any dietary restrictions. A small task would be a one-time, distinct job like dropping off used books at the library or assisting to clean out a linen closet.
We continue to look for volunteers who can provide rides, meals, or help with small tasks. If you are able to help with any of these from time to time, please email us at HelpingHands@uuchelmsford.org and we will add you to our list of volunteers and provide you with further details about volunteering.
