Our Share the plate organization this Sunday is Massachusetts Interfaith Power & Light (MassIPL): www.massipl.org. For decades, MassIPL has helped Massachusetts people of faith fulfill our responsibility to be caring stewards of our houses of worship, our homes, and the earth. As public advocates, they have called our political leaders to meaningful action for climate justice.
Their mission is to:
-Educate people on why climate change is a matter of morality and justice.
-Foster public understanding of policies that will lead to a sustainable future.
-Work with faith communities and their members to be better environmental stewards of their buildings by providing technical expertise and assessing ways they can lower their carbon emissions and save money.
