It is exciting to be involved in a congregation that is described as having a strong sense of community, rich and innovative in worship and programing, committed to social justice, and good financial stewards. That’s the findings of UU consultant Barry Finkelstein who visited us in April. We are using Barry’s report, as well as the work of several First Parish task forces and committees over the years, to think about our future capital needs and to plan how we might address them. At the State of the Society meeting on September 28, I provided an update on the work of the Next Steps Task Force. Please let me know if you have any questions and we’ll keep you posted on the work of the Next Steps Task Force online, through social media, during coffee hour, and informational briefings to the congregation throughout the year.
