We have many seniors, newcomers unfamiliar with Chelmsford Center, and families with small children who find it difficult or impossible to park a significant distance from the building. And our own lot doesn't have enough room for everyone on Sunday mornings. Therefore, if you are able, please park in one of the following places:
- across North Rd (Rt. 4) behind the Community Center/Old Town Hall (driveway entrance is to your left as you face the building),
- at the Bank end of the Bertuccis/Ginger Ale Plaza parking lot across from the church/cemetery on Littleton Rd (Rt. 110), or
- along the edge of the town common in the marked parking spaces and beyond (Sunday mornings only, Chelmsford Police are lenient out there); just don't block access to any crosswalks.
If you park in the church parking lot:
Please leave the front (Westford St.) row for those who must leave immediately following the service. In the widest parts of the triangular lot, there is room for one more row directly (bumper to bumper) behind the front row with another row directly against the stone wall around the cemetery.
Please do not block access to the rear of the lot from either the marked handicap parking spot at the chapel end of the lot (which we try use as an access route on Sundays), or back near the red schoolhouse/fire hydrant.
Handicap Parking is available between the fluorescent orange cones placed directly across the street from our Handicap accessible/Kitchen doorway. If you get here before the cones are put out, just park anyway and let an usher know that the cones need to be put outside (or ask anyone you see; this is an as yet undesignated jobs).
If you need to unload someone or something, please feel free to pull directly into the sidewalk area which leads to the kitchen door. Just dont park there for long without letting an usher, elevator person or greeter know, so that we know who you are in case the car needs to be moved.
