Outreach is an important part of the community of First Parish. From feeding those in need to protecting our enviroment, these committees put our principals to work in the greater community.
Interested in getting involved with social action at First Parish? Contact one of our existing committees if you are interested in their work. Don't see the issue that you are passionate about? - Green Sanctuary Initiative – Educates congregation in personal environmentally-friendly practices and behaviors.
- Open Pantry of Greater Lowell Collection – Monthly collects dry and canned goods and monetary donations for delivery to food pantry.
- Community Table – Church provides Sunday meal at Lowell YMCA on a six-week rotation.
- Table of Plenty (TOP) - Church cooks a meal at First Parish for Table of Plenty on an eight week rotation
- New Orleans (NOLA) Service Trip - Coordinates the First Parish trip to New Orleans
- Council of Faith in Action Ministries - Supports all First Parish Outreach groups.
