A note from Steve...
Steve Zocchi, Music Director
This year is shaping up to be a wonderful year. The Choirs are all doing a great job. As always, I owe a special debt of gratitude to Senior Choir and The Meetinghouse Ringers (a.k.a. Bell Choir) for their ongoing work. Bell Choir did a great job ringing in the service on October 20th. Senior Choir is sounding great. I want to thank all the singers in our Youth Choirs for their excellent performance on October 27th at our informal concert. That was a lot of fun, and it was only possible because of the enthusiasm and energy of the participants, and their parents. Thank you all!
And speaking of concerts, this year we begin the 5th season of our Concert Series. I hope to see you all at our first concert “Man vs. Piano - The Rematch”, Sunday November 10th at 4:00 in our beautiful Sanctuary. I’ll be performing a solo piano concert of Mozart, Schubert, Chopin and original work in several genres. Come see and hear the high-wire act which is piano performance. I promise laughs (at least giggles) and a memorable experience. I will humorously reveal the truth about the challenges of being a musician. Bring your friends. Proceeds go to the First Parish operating budget.
My heart melts with gratitude when I think about our First Parish community. I cherish the beauty, the emotion, and the genuineness of our Church family and our Sunday services. I’m excited for the rest of the year as we prepare for the holidays and all the music-making to come.
Indeed, it’s a wonderful year.
Your Music Director, Steve
