Open Pantry THANKS!! You are a generous people! We contributed $1485.00 in cash and checks, and at least 35 bags of groceries. WOW. Thanks to all who helped load my car, count money, helped deliver and unload in Lowell, and everything else. ---Gail P

Thanks! for my wonderful surprise 25th anniversary party and gifts last Sunday. You are an amazingly wonderful, generous group of people and it has always been a joy to work for you. OK - so sometimes the sense of humor helps, too ??! --Cindy

Geography of Grace: a faith formation opportunity for adults. This curriculum offers the opportunity for spiritual exploration and the deepening of community using the practices of "the Circle of Trust" approach developed by the Quaker teacher, Parker Palmer. Using the metaphors and imagery offered by the landscapes of geography-vista points, holy wells, mountain edges, desert places, to name a few-the sessions guide participants through individual reflective exercises and group sharing to attend to the nurture and care of our own souls and while offering each other the gift (or grace) of listening presence and intentional community. Each session follows this outline: "The Gift of Hospitality: Welcome, Opening Reading and Silent Reflection"; "Grace in Community: Reading the Touchstones": "Meeting on Sacred Ground: Check ins": "Deep Speaks to Deep: A Further Exploration"; "Amen, So Be It, the Closing Circle" and "Grace Note: A Blessing to Take Home". I will be offering an introductory session on Sunday, December 10th from 3:30 pm to 6 pm. If there is enough interest and commitment, I will lead the full course after the New Year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 978 256-5555. I am so excited to offer this course! Rev. Ellen

From your Pastoral Care Team (PCT) - Card Corner at Social Hour Our Card Corner has been well received so we will continue to host it on a regular basis. Members of your PCT will set up a table during Social Hour where we invite you to stop by with your coffee or tea and use our stationery/card supply to send greetings to your fellow FPers. Notes of support for folks going through difficult times, congratulations on milestones, good wishes on significant birthdays - you can fill them out and leave the envelopes for us to mail. And even if you have nothing to write or send just come sit for a bit and say hello. Hope to see you at the Card Corner! - Kathy, Liz, Gail, Linda, Elizabeth, Carla, and Brian

Judy Maybury is looking for someone to help her dig out her car if a big snowstorm hits, and she is told she has to move it for the plows. Little stuff she can manage herself with the help of other seniors who live nearby. She would appreciate a phone call from anyone willing to be available to help her.  Her former helper has moved to Florida.

12/3 - Annual Holiday Fair (Shorter duration and Sunday, NOT Saturday)
We are holding our annual Holiday Fair on Sunday afternoon December 3, before, during and after Chelmsford's Holiday Prelude (town tree lighting) ceremony. Stop by for coffee and some of our famous Holy Donuts. There will also be wreaths, roping and greenery and home-made baked goods for sale.

12/5 - The Women's Discussion Group will have our annual holiday dinner get together on Tuesday, December 5 at 6:30pm. It will be at Rufina's, 170 Concord Road, Chelmsford. Please RSVP to Sue Sheedy by Sunday, December 3.

12/10 - Please join the ABP Team and Standing Committee for a Cottage Meeting on 12/10 after worship.  The main focus of this Cottage Meeting will be a financial update including the latest cost estimate and funding options. We will be looking for feedback on some of the funding options.
We remind everyone about the project timeline (copied below). We will share any update on project bids.

12/25 - Christmas Day Potluck Dinner here at First Parish: Don't have anywhere to be or anyone to sit down and share a meal with on Christmas day? Don't feel like preparing and cleaning up an entire meal after you haven't really slept for the last 2 days? Come and join us here at church!

I will again be bringing my family and our favorite parts of Christmas dinner to church on Dec 25, arriving about 4pm to set up for a ~5pm meal. I will cook a large turkey with stuffing, my 'kids' will bring various other accoutrements and all who want to join us are welcome. Just bring your choice of appetizer, entre, salad, bread, dessert, beverages. I don't even try to micromanage a balanced meal - bring what you want and something to drink, and we will all enjoy it. We usually end up with about 15-20 people but that doesn't mean you have to prepare enough of whatever to feed that many. There's never enough room on the plate to try everything! It is not necessary to let me know in advance if you are coming, but it is always helpful. -Cindy Gist
