We will do this again next Spring. Thanks again and congratulations 8th Graders (who can now identify grade level reading materials with ease having spend the last 6 Sundays sorting books!)--Maura Snow
Voices of Light Spreads Joy to Seniors in the Area! Voices of Light Community Outreach Chorale, was founded in 2009 and is directed by Will Reiter of First Parish of Chelmsford. Since then, the group has been performing at many nursing homes and assisted living communities in the Chelmsford and Billerica area. With dynamic performances including Broadway standards, Spirituals, Patriotic Songs, and Hymns, audiences are often roused to join in singing or, on one occasion, saluting! Members sing in all four registers and we are always looking for new members who can read music and sing parts. Rehearsals are Mondays from 7:30 to 8:45pm, Sept. into June. For more information, please contact Will Reiter

ANNUAL REPORTS –annual reports for committees (non-financial) or any other Groups - are due June 19 (Annual Meeting Date).
SMALL GROUP MINISTRY: There are currently openings in each of the Men’s evening Small Group Ministry Groups. As was evident in the service and coffee hour each hosted by one of the Men’s Groups; both groups provide a chance for men to get together on a monthly basis, discuss a range of topics, be of support to each other, and to have fun. If you are a woman and are interested in a co-ed or all women’s group, openings occur periodically and also when there are enough people, a new group forms. If you are interested in joining or have questions regarding Small Group Ministry Groups, contact Ann Marie Sigdestad, Small Group Ministry coordinator
Clara Barton District Tornado Relief
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As you have probably heard, a series of storms and devastating tornadoes ripped through western and central Massachusetts yesterday.
A tornado sheered off the steeple of the Unitarian Universalist Parish of Monson. Fortunately no one was hurt, but the damage comes at the very end of a major building restoration project. At least one family in each of our congregations in Brookfield and Sturbridge suffered catastrophic damage to their homes, and a staff member of our Springfield congregation also experienced serious property damage.
The Clara Barton District has advanced emergency relief funds to several of our affected congregations, and the UU Trauma Response Ministry Team has been deployed.
We invite you to support affected congregations and families by making a generous donation to the Clara Barton District's Massachusetts Tornado Relief Fund. Proceeds from the Fund will be used to provide immediate relief to congregation members and staff, for cleanup efforts in at the UU Parish of Monson, and for longer-term needs as they arise.
For more information and to donate, please go to the Clara Barton-Mass Bay District website at
Funds will be used first toward direct and long term relief for UU congregations, members and staff directly impacted by the storms and then toward wider needs in those communities. Contributions toward this fund can be made by accessing this link: http://www.uua.kintera.org/matornado. If you would prefer to send a check, please make your check payable to the UUA and write in the memo line “Massachusetts Tornado Relief Fund”. Gifts can be mailed to:

The ministers of our affected congregations send heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and care that they and their people have already received, and they are grateful for possible financial support to help see their congregants and communities through this hard time.
All of us in the Clara Barton District are grateful for the support of our brothers and sisters in the wider Unitarian Universalist community!
