The Membership Committee of First Parish Church, Chelmsford is dedicated to the task of welcoming newcomers and helping friends make decisions about membership. They guide newcomers through the church and help them find their way into the life and ministries of the church. Along with the minister, they educate newcomers, friends, and existing members on the meaning of membership.
Any member or friend of First Parish is eligible to be on the Membership Committee. The Membership Committee meetson the fourth Thursday of each month at 7pm in the Alliance Parlor.
Membership Committee Covenant
Because we welcome all souls, we have the goal of celebrating membership by caring and nurturing, networking, and fostering our UU identity.
Thus we covenant to
- Make people feel welcome and at home.
- Connect people to the life, work and ministry of our congregation.
- Promote communication within First Parish,
- And educate about our congregation, our heritage and our Unitarian Universalist principles.
