Open Pantry Collections
Open Pantry of Greater Lowell provides food once a month for those in need in the Greater Lowell Area. First Parish has been supporting OPen Pantry for many years by collecting food and cash donations once a month and delivering to the warehouse in Lowell.
How can you help? Aside from donating food, you can also help on collection Sundays by loading the cars at the church after the service, or bringing the donations over to the Open Pantry during the week. Open Pantry sometimes needs help stocking shelves during the week too.
Open Pantry accepts nonperishable food, checks and cash. While we typically collect donations on the third Sunday of the month, you can leave donations in the Open Pantry box at the church at any time during the month. The box is usually either in the chapel narthex near the copier, or in the hallway across from Cindy's office. If you are leaving a check, you can make it out to "Open Pantry". In the memo line, write First Parish UU Chelmsford or just FPUU, so they know it's from us. You can find envelopes in themailbox near Cindy's office, and drop them in Cindy's office or lail it to:
