The purpose of the Committee on Ministry (CoM) is to advance, "affirm and  promote" if you will, the ministry of First Parish.  One of our tasks is to function as "sounding board" for the minister, providing support and feedback, and facilitating open and honest communication.

While Ellen Spero has primary responsibility for the ministry at First Parish, ministry is not limited to our paid professionals. We are concerned also with the congregation's ministry to each other and the community. What is First Parish's ministry?  How effective are we?  What do we do well? What are our shortcomings and what can we do to overcome them?  What is ministry?
