The Long Range Planning Committee was formed in 2002 to plan for current and future needs of First Parish Church with focus in three broad areas:
This past church year was focused upon implementing the fiscal year’s plan for repair and upgrade of our historical building, and providing financial support for various Outreach proposals submitted through the new “Faith in Action” grant program. We also allocated some unused LRP funding to provide two Church wide retreats that support the Program aspect of our mission statement.
Volunteers interested in driving the LRP process, working on building renovation projects, planning new programs and improving First Parish outreach initiatives are urged to join us this upcoming fiscal year. LRP Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 7 pm in the Alliance Parlor for those interested in participating.
The current members of the First Parish Long Range Planning Committee are Paul Taylor (chair), Johan Mackenzie, Allan Jefferson, Chris Boucher, Kirk Kirkpatrick, Joe Sheedy, and Jeanne Thompson.
