Keep in Touch

The best way to keep up with what is going on at First Parish is to sign up for our email lists.  We have 4 email announcement lists:
  • Shooting Star: The Shooting Star is the monthly newsletter of First Parish
  • Sunday Announcements: The weekly announcements ("The Satellite")  and the Order Of Worship are emailed on Fridays.
  • Event Announcements: This announcement list lets members learn of upcoming Church events or other notices
  • Social Action: This announcement list allows members to be notified of social action events, and to receive the monthly social action newsletter

Join us

There are many ways to take part in the First Parish Community.

Sing with us

We have a very active musical community with 2 adults choirs, our Senior Choir which sings at most Sunday Morning Services, and the Meetinghouse Ringers, our handbell choir. For children and youth, we have 3 age-based choirs: Intermediate Choral Ensemble for 8th - 12 grade, Junior Choir for age 8 through grade 7, and Carol Choir for ages 3 - 7.  IF you have any questions about music at First Parish, contact our Music Director This email address is being protected from spambots. Talk with us

Our Small Group Ministry consists of groups of 7-10 people within the church community that meet once a month. In Small Group, we talk about a variety of topics related to spirituality, values, and living one’s life within the context of Unitarian Universalism. Each session includes a chalice lighting, check-in, readings on the topic and discussion. Each group is led by a trained facilitator. Check our latest newsletter to find out more about our Small Group Ministry program.

Knit with us

Knitters and crocheters at First Parish make shawls to distributed to individuals both in our congregation and beyond who are in need of emotional support.  If you like to know or crotchet, we have patterns and yarn to help you get started.

Feed the world with us

At First Parish we have 2 groups that work in the community to help feed those who need it.  On the third Saturday of every month, we serve at Community Table, a soup kitchen held at the Lowell Salvation Army.  On the first Tuesday of every other month (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, and Dec) we serve with Table Of Plenty at the Chelmsford Senior Center.  Both our Community Table group, and our Table of Plenty group can always use more help with cooking, cleaning and/or serving.  Contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
